Arthur N. Gertler M.D.
|
|
|
Dr.
Gertler is board certified in gastroenterology and internal
medicine with thirty years clinical experience now offering
holistic techniques for the management of pain disorders. A
multimodality approach will be used with a SCENAR instrument
initially developed for use by cosmonauts in the Russian
space program. The SCENAR, an acronym for Self Controlled
Energy Neuro Adaptive Regulator, is a sophisticated,
cybernetic biofeedback device that is applied to the skin
and stimulates the body to mobilize its own healing powers
in helping pain disorders as well as a panoply of other
conditions. In addition, a hands on healing technique,
biomagnetic therapy with magnetic wraps, and a foot bath for
the purpose of detoxification is offered. An individualized
nutritional assessment with inclusion of micronutrients and
herbs is part of the therapeutic approach. Dr. Gertler has
used these techniques to help patients for several years
while in clinical practice and is a graduate of the
University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Included in
his training are five years of subspecialty and internal
medicine postgraduate training at Boston institutions
including St. Elizabeth Hospital Lahey Clinic, and Boston
Veteran's Administration Hospital. In addition he has
participated in numerous holistic courses and workshops
including SCENAR training, hands on healing techniques,
Native American studies, herbal medicine and nutrition.
Holistic Pain Management
Dr. Gertler provides an integrative approach to pain
management using advanced technologies and therapies
dedicated to facilitating your self-healing process. Because
these strategies are safe, harmonizing and gentle they can
guide you in healing pain along with its underlying process
quite efficiently. Four techniques are used:
SCENAR therapy - a computerized biofeedback healing device.
IonCleanse - an electronic footbath for detoxification.
Qantum Touch - a hands on healing method.
Biomagnetic therapy - bipolar magetic wraps for painful
joints.
Chelation Therapy
Each year over 500,000 Americans die of atherosclerosis our
nation's number one killer. Chelation therapy has been shown
to reverse the symptoms of this disease and to correct the
underlying cause of arterial blockage by using intravenous
infusions of EDTA, a synthetic amino acid, to remove toxic
metals from the bloodstream and restore circulation to all
tissues of the body. Over 1,000,000 treatments administered
in the U.S. since the 1950's have documented its safety and
effectiveness, with 85% of cases experiencing successful
outcomes. Chelation therapy has been shown to help:
heart attack
angina
stroke
poor circulation to extremities
hypertension
exercise intolerance
elevated cholesterol
chronic fatigue
Chelation therapy is administered according to protocol as
20-30 weekly intravenous infusions each lasting 3 hours. The
program includes a comprehensive medical examination, lab
tests, the use of vitamins and discussion of stress
reduction, lifestyle and dietary changes
